Welcome to the Mathematics Department!!!

School Mission Statement:

Seven Hills Classical Academy ("Seven Hills") provides students with a classical education in an academically

rigorous environment designed to promote strong citizenship and life-long learning.

From Mr. Peterson:

I am excited to be continuing my eighth year at Seven Hills Classical Academy. Thinking back to our inaugural year, It's hard to imagine all the growth and success our school and students would achieve in just seven years! After starting as a Educational Assistant inthe Special Education program, I am happy to  continue my sixth year teaching in the Enrichment Department.

As a graduate of St. John's University in Collegeville, MN, a former ESL teacher in Thailand, youth wilderness guide, new father, and an educator, I am fully devoted to being and developing life-long learners. I love the community at Seven Hills and challenging students to become great problem solvers. This year is going to be as great as the others! I can't wait!

About Kelly Ryan:

I’ll be working primarily with Kindergarten, 2nd grade, and 4th grade students.  I am happy to be joining Seven Hills Classical Academy for the first time this year and to be working with such personable and knowledgeable staff.   My career in education has consisted of teaching 2nd grade through middle school.  I have done so in a diverse group of settings from private schools, an ESL charter school, and for a year in Qatar. I recently graduated from the University of Minnesota with my Master’s Degree in Leadership in Education. St. Norbert College in Green Bay, WI is where I obtained my teaching degree; but don’t worry, I am still a loyal Viking fan!

My hope is to help the students grow into the potential mathematicians they
aspire to be. I am grateful for this opportunity to contribute to Seven Hill’s math program and I look forward to this new year!
